More information needed of course, but if it is basically rust-free and has no damage history I'd 'guesstimate' such a car in the 10K to 15K range. JUST A WAG.

WAG = Military aviator's term meaning a Wild-Assed-Guess. See also: T-LAR = That Looks About Right. (Usually followed by "Bombs away.")

If it is orig metal and no rust and all there, more like 15/20, try to find a nice one, the tirds are selling in that range unless you get lucky.

Thanks, I just needed a range, Havent been checking the prices on the 67's lately, but am getting the bug to get one. In my business, which is contruction, I always get people asking for a ballpark guess, I tell them that Camden Yards cost around 200 million and If you want to guess you should call a fortune teller because I dont guess..Funny, that reminds me of one time about 10 years ago, I have a billboard I put in front of my office building for our company, we only needed the top half so I cut the bottom up into 2x3 foot sections and rent sign space. A fortune teller come in and asks how much..we all break out laughing and tell him that if he was for real he would already know..he couldnt get out the door fast enough...Thats one of those"you had to be there things"
Again, thanks for the opinions...

Sam

here is a link to a pretty nice one I have been tracking, it appears they may be moving up a notch with the other cars in price. I suspect his reserve is up around 25 I may be wrong??

Yeah, I was looking at that gold ss-rs myself. Since its eBay, I'd be willing to guess the reserve is closer to $35K.

eBay has completely distorted the price of 1st gen Camaros. A while ago it looked like they were beginning to come back to earth, now they seem to have run up in the other direction.

I guess the truth of the matter is its worth whatever someone is willing to pay.

We can comment all we want on what is wrong or incorrect with a car and how it will hurt the value, but in the end it comes down to whether the buyer is happy with what he pays for the car. I bought a 68 Camaro from a guy in OK off Ebay a couple of month ago and I think I got a great deal and I'm happy with the car. It seems that a 67-69 Camaro with a solid body, decent paint and good running drivetrain is worth $10-15K. Start adding in the desirable options like RS, SS, Z28, 4 speed, etc. and the price goes up accordingly. The only thing that runs up the prices on Camaros is the demand for them.

I agree with you, I think EBAY is deceiving though, you will see many of the same cars being relisted over and over again if you keep track of them...I wonder how many of these actually are selling and for what price...Lots of smoke and mirrors too, I was bidding on a car and the last 2 minutes a guy is running the price up drasticly. I was trying to figure out what was so special about this car that someone would overpay so much, I then checked out some old e-mails the seller and his buddy were sending me and realized that it was the owners buddy who was running the price up..glad I stopped when I did. He wound up selling the car to himself. Originally I had a verble agreement with the guy to buy the car and he was suppose to remove it from the auction before he left on a vacation, he didnt do it and it was listed no reserve so I was trying to keep the deal intact by bidding but once it went over the original deal price I said screw it. Im sure the guy will be calling when he gets back but I already found a different car for my Son.

budnate-
Thanks for that ebay link! That car is very similar to the RS/SS I just found (and bought). Same color, same engine, mine has gold deluxe interior, powerglide, and drum brakes, all original numbers match.
