I saw the Z refering to the Fremont plant but I thought it did not come into play until after 72 or so... at least thats what I think I read on a forum when I typed in Vin decoding as a search on yahoo...thats what is confusing to me P0 should be 1970 right???

Z indicates Fremont in 69 too.

What is the main case casting number?
65-67 should be 3885010
1970 would be either 3925660, or 3925661.
Should also have the ratio designator (sp)after the date code. (69-74)
A = M20, B = M21, C = M22.
661 would also have a fine (26) spline input, turbo 400 style output, and a drain plug.
