Default Really ridiculous ebay hemi auction

This guy has a starting bid of $50,000 on a NOS hemi short block with blank pad. He's so proud of the fact it has a Jan 1970 casting date "perfect for your hemicuda convertible." Too bad he has no clue. Just about every 1971 hemicar came with a 1969 casting date block. (the factory had an oversupply of them). My 71 hemicuda ragtop's original block was a 1969 as was the original engine in my 71 hemi charger. What he has is a 1970 over-the-counter warranty replacement block, a rare find but it would be incorrect for the date-code correct restoration of a 1970 or 71 hemicar. And if someone was dumb enough to buy it and stamp their VIN into it it would be immediately obvious due to the date code, that it was a restamp.

The real funny thing is that it would be "date code correct" for my 70 hemi charger since the original owner blew his first engine in January of 1970 and had the dealer honored the warranty, this would be the short block he would have gotten.
