Since you're so close, why not get over there anyway...if all's good and the guy hasn't got any money yet and is agreeable to it, consider laying a deposit on him...just in case the buyer goes sour and doesn't live up to the 48 hr. deposit thing?.

All ready sent him an e/m in that respect,i'm almost glad he didn't post a rear pic of the car because if the panel was black i'd be more upset now I can tell myself it was probably an L34 car..either way that thing had been in there since the Reagan admin with dust to match and everyone loves an easter egg hunt in Sept!

Looks like badly faded Daytona Yellow to me--but if it is Butternut Yellow that will make for a neat-looking '69 when done.

Bill,I thought the same thing but look at the condition of that vinyl top and the brightwork after he hosed it off..the car hasn't seen sunlight in almost a quarter century. It went into hibernation way before people were scratching around for tissue so it's prolly got some in it ..either way like is often stated on here they are still out there..

Chad, can I get a witness?

I think people need to back off and let the winner of the auction close the deal. I would be pissed if I was the winner and people were e-mailing the seller trying to weasel in when I only I had the guts to pull the trigger. Put yourself in his position and show some respect.

To be perfectly clear, my earlier post certainly wasn't saying to try and weasel in on the deal or even email anyone...just suggesting that being so close to the car it may be worth viewing and asking to leave a deposit only if the seller was agreeable and be next in line if the buyer didn't pan out?.
