Default Carolina Blue question

Someone on the Pontiac board asked me this:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">In my shop sits a Rally Sport in the same color with dashes in place of the code on the cowl tag.
Was wondering if you had learned that it makes a significant difference in value?</div></div>

Figured you folks would know more than anyone else.

Thanks!

Yeah, but you're a Pontiac guy. I think there's a possibility that the Chevy subculture can put a (small) premium on a car like this.

To the guy selling one, it apparently adds significant value... but they rarely get as much significant additional cash as they are asking.
No data to back it up, but my personal experience is that when someone is LOOKING for a certain color of first gen Camaro, it is usually Black, Lemans Blue, or Hugger Orange.

And I am certain I just offended someone with another color.

Thanks for the feedback, all! I had the impression the color was loved by Chevy folks, but perhaps not.

Never seen one of them powder blue except for the Z.

I remember seeing this one at an auction.

Also recall a '70 SS Chevelle.

It might be worth a little more to a North Carolina fan as it is their school color.

There are several colors that are rare due to very few being ordered, but that doesn't equate to being desirable. Personally that color has no wow factor, but to a Tar Heel fan well ......
