Default 1967 camaro value

Not a camaro guy but I might go look at this 67 camaro with its original 327. Its a 4 speed car but a saginaw? Would that be original or would a muncie be original. Has 67k original miles. Would this combination have a 10 bolt or 12 bolt? The car has good floors good trunk from what the owner tells me? Doors have some rust and he said the car has some filler. The car comes with a quarter panel and front valance panel He was driving the car a couple of years ago then pulled the motor and the the work stopped. So it was a running driving 67 camaro with a 327 4 speed. The interior is original, the driver seat has 2 small rips other than that it is good? Again owner telling me this? Original color is yellow with black interior. Oh ya it has the spoiler on the trunk. Does this mean anything. Again sorry camaro stupid here. LOL

Forgot it’s a vinyl top car and looks like it has power drum brakes with power steering. As for the motor the owner said he was fouling plugs in 2 cylinders so he took the motor apart and found 2 broken rings? So he did a budget lower end, new bearings rings and had the crank turned. The motor was already 60 over. Again he has everything to put it back together. I would most likely not take his word on the engine and would break it back down again. A couple pictures he sent me. He said the lower doors need some work.

Jason, I am pretty sure that the 327's came with a Saginaw. Only the ss350, 396's and z28's came with a Muncie. The good thing about the 67's is that all options are listed on the trim tag. Get the numbers off the tag and we can decode it. The bad thing is that they only stamped the vins on the hipo cars. So impossible to check matching numbers. Doesn't look like it is originally red. Without seeing how much filler is in the car or where it is, it's kinda tuff to put a price on it, it could need a ton of work. I would guesstimate around 5 to 6k.

I know for a fact that 327-275hp cars with a 4 speed got a 12 bolt rear end standard but unfortunately ended up with the Saginaw transmission.

It was originally yellow. Interesting on the 12 bolt. I asked him what rear it had he wasn't sure. I am still up in the air If I am going to go look at it tonight? Thanks for the input.

Could have either axle.

Look here:

http://www.camaros.org./l30m20.shtml#axle

Being a four speed, probably the 275 horse engine. Original to car?

If original drivetrain, I think Buddy is right on. Could bring a bit more.
Need tag and other numbers to know.

Good luck Jason. Just be sure you realize how much work it needs. A complete color change is a lot of work. I would question why the block was .60 over. You can't go more than that on a small block. So if it needs to go more than that, the motor is junk.

They aren't that desirable as opposed to a big block or Z. However, as between a 210 horse car and the L30, if you are planning to keep it mostly stock, I would be much more inclined to purchase the L30 personally. Unless you are going with huge mods, or changing the engine to an LS1, then it really doesn't matter.

Again, part of this is just me personally, but I have always liked the L30 motor.

Well I called the owner tonight, he is going to advertise it and get as much money as he can. He thinks its worth 8-10k? For me its just way to much for a project car needing panel replacement and a motor. If it was a running driving car and just needed some cosmetic work then I think he is in the ball park. I let him know what I am willing to pay for the car with what he has told me about the car. He said he was going to hold onto my number. I guess we will see what happens..... I am in no rush for another project. LOL

Thanks for all the help.
