Now THAT is freakin' cool! [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif[/img] Juan Fangio is regarded as the greatest F1 driver in history. He only raced in 52 races between 1950-1958, but he won 24 of those races, while taking pole position 29 times. He was on the front row of the grid 48 of 52 races. Simply amazing. Yet one of the most incredible stats is that he won 5 World Championships in 8 years, and with 4 different teams.
And even more amazing, Fangio won the 1957 Cuban Grand Prix, and had the fastest practice laps at the 1958 Cuban Grand Prix, but was kidnapped by Fidel Castro militants and held captive before the race started. He was released after the race. Racing sure was different back then....
