Default 1969 L78 Nova SS 7k Miles

I was looking at this car on eBay and spoke to the owner of the car - he is looking to get $55k for it. This price tag seemed a little steep to me but I think he is trying to justify it by stating the fact that the car "might" have some Baldwin Motion upgrades.

Is this truely a $55k car?

"The features that I was told are Phase III features on this car include: ... 12 bolt posi-rear end, power assisted front disc brakes and 11.0" rear drums."

Wow , if only the General had figured that out!

being a high horse car with that history and a great restoration i think the price is fair for a guy that wants an original hi horse Nova
this is a turn key car and it beats buying a basket case 375 hp nova for $15k-$20k and then spending over $55 k when your all done and going through all the headaches and stress IMO.

Very nice looking L-78 with alot of hardwork put into it since, but when Larry Clain bought that car from Daryl L. here in Illinois back in 2004,it was just that.
Daryl did an extensive background check on the car before he sold it,and Baldwin Motion never appeared anywhere in it's past history that I recall.
He claims it came from Gene Davis, but I remember it having an Evans trunk decal??

Larry came and visited me on the way home from purchasing this Nova. I vividly remember it on the back of his open trailer. The car seemed pretty solid back then. I remember him having a build sheet for the car. It was kind of funny becaiuse Larry pulls the build sheet out to show me and it was windy that day. The build sheet was kind of brittle and I remember a couple of little pieces blowing off of it and my mouth dropping open in horor. Larry just said "ah, who cares." God love Larry, a truly good guy.

I just bought a 1969 Nova that was built Feb 1969 (02C) and it looks like it might have a later build sequence than this March 1969 built Nova.

What happened to the body buildsheet that is pictured in the 2004 thread?

Hey Bill S.

This looks just like the L78 Nova you and Dad had together back in 1980. Similarly equipped - gold, bench seat, 4 speed? I don't remember if it was a 69 or 70 though?

Wow - some history on this car. The restoration looks like it was done very well and the car looks great as it sits. Unfortunate story of Larry and what happened to the rest of his collection.
