Default National Men Make Dinner Day....

One of the lesser known hoildays for sure...Karen left a note on the table this morning with the info, so I bit. Stopped on the way home and did some shopping and prepared a memorable dinner. Here's the menu:

Fresh Asparagus..steamed
Polenta with sundried tomatoes and fresh ricotta cheese
Pork cutlets...panned seared and then oven finished with red onions, a few more tomatoes and wine reduction sauce
Fresh baked french bread
2006 Vinedos de El Segue red spanish wine

Giffords Maine wild blueberry ice cream and coffee
..and Francis Albert on the juke box

This menu is probably nothing compared to Tibor's...but i tried.

Last night the boys and I had steaks, rice and veggies...but really yesterday was no different since I make dinner everyday anyway!.

Although it's nice to have someone make dinner and do laundry etc, the benefits that go along w/ this single dad world are worthy of mention..
How's sweet uninterupted peace sound?.
Or a guiltless catnap whenever you need one...yep anytime!.
Lots more too..
Did I mention the peace...ahhhh!.

I wish I knew about this yesterday

Although if I asked Bill to cook dinner, he would have just asked me what flavor Pop Tart I wanted!

Ok, now since you’ve continued reading, we assume that you are a man who NEVER cooks. And that you fit the profile of the ‘men’ who have inspired this once-a-year occasion.
The ideal participant in ‘National Men Make Dinner Day’ is the man who:
helps with household chores
has a sense of humour and is a great all-around guy
loves his wife/girlfriend, kids and pets
…BUT NEVER LEARNED HOW TO COOK, and is somewhat afraid of the idea.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow! My husband definitely fits the profile!!!

Ken,
You should publish a training manual. You'd make a fortune!
