Default 1968 Chevelle 369 ss

Hi Guy's,
I am new to the muscle car thing so please bare with me.
I had the option to buy a 1968 Chevy Chevelle 369 ss a couple of weeks ago. Every thing I can find on this car is saying that it is worth having. (Vin#138378Z168874) I have all the recipts for the vehicle including original purchace recipt and protect-o-plate. the car is matador red and is solid apart from some very minor rust issues and totaly orignal, having only had two owners from new. The main thing that puzzles me is that it has a three speed manual that is showing origonal but I can't find any info on the net that mentions it.
P.S. The car was $2795.00 plus 83.80 sales tax,5.00 title and transfer and 11.30 for a total of 2895.10 out the door.
Regards
Ronnie

If anyone would like me to post pics please let me know and i will oblige. your comments on the car would be gratefull.

If it is $2900 US go buy it regardless of numbers.

The 3 speed was the standard trans that came in the SS. If you wanted a 4 speed, you had to pony up more dollars. The p-o-p will have the 3 speed code on it. As stated, post some pictures of it.

I think that is the original price. But still a good deal nonetheless.

I feel pretty dumb. That makes sense that it is the original price.

Thanks for the responses guys. I will post pics over the next day or so. The car is located in Cayman and the price stated was the original purchase price.
Thanks TDW on the trans info, much appreciated.
