Default A.D. Anderson Chevrolet, Baltimore, MD

Talked with an author yesterday who is writing a book on Chevrolet dealerships. There will be a chapter written on A.D. Anderson Chevrolet and he is looking for info and photos. If anyone here has any photos or interesting data related to this dealership, contact me. 410-781-0418.

For anyone growing up in the Baltimore area, A.D. Anderson was one of the biggest performance dealers in the region. They sold many COPO cars, one dusk blue ZL-1, many solid lifter Corvettes and some of the first 67 Z28s produced.

Any help appreciated,

Jerry

Jerry, I have the original window sticker, car order form and dealer emblem from my 67 Z. The car was purchased at Anderson.

Thanks Don,

Maybe a nice color scan of the W/S would be good for starters. I have the other docs like yours from my new '67 Z race car.

Tucker Scott's old Z28.....right? One of the first ones in the registry, #22. He lived in CT and was going to school in Balitmore from what I remember. Ordered the car at AD Anderson.

Appreciate your help,

Jerry

Your right Jerry, it is Tucker's old car. I've been in contact with him on several occasions and he has told me some interesting stories.

Don't have a color scanner.

I took a ride in Tucker Scott's Z-28 when he lived in Fairfield, CT and was amazed at the pull. It felt like a big block. Not having the original engine caused me to pass on the car but I would have bought it otherwise. Tucker gave me copies of the Protecto-Plate, Window Sticker and Dealer Order Form which I look at from time to time. I also have the Trim Tag information to remind me of a car I wish I had bought in 1990.

Dave,

It's a great car and nicely optioned. I have a copy of the window sticker in my 1967 68 Z28 Camaro fact book. Tucker was a great guy when ever I talked with him.

Don,

Could you make me a color copy of the window sticker? That would work if you can do that. I'll see that you get credit in the chapter of the book.

Happy New Year,

Jerry

Jerry,

I enjoyed meeting Tucker and felt he was a good guy too. He wasn't moving much on his price and after confering with you, we felt it would be best to pass on it. Having a "CE" engine back then was a deal-breaker for many, including myself. That would not be the case for me now!
Thanks for responding.

Dave
