Originally, was the whole First Gen Camaro underbody painted black before the outer body was primed? None of the underbody was left in primer? I don't recall my 68 underbody having more than a semi-gloss black with Emine White overspray. The floorpan plugs were installed after the underbody was painted, but before the body exterior was painted. I've seen some restorations with black paint on the plugs. Did this differ from LOS and NOR? Or was this a restoration oversight?
Thanks, Tony Huntimer Camaro Performers Magazine |

My 68 shows 13K miles and I believe them to be true, the Body was painted red first then the bottom and firewall were painted black then last undercoating was sprayed in rear wheel wells. It does not appear to have any primer on the bottom side.
