PICTURES from Rock n' Bowl Car Show - Rockford, IL
140 cars registered for this late fall show put on by the local ASA branch and the local economic development authority trying to get more people to this stretch of State St. in Rockford. Overcast most of the say and actually started snowing around 1:30.
Sampling of some of the nicer stuff that was there, enjoy Really wicked Chevelle   Way cool Willys    Chevelle  AMX   El Camino with late model power  Camaro  Fabulous Thunderbird     Blown 69 Camaro  Challenger  Buick convertible  Crown Vic?  Clean little Nova  Rat Rod?  My favorite of the show, 2+2 Pontiac, 421 tripower, 4 speed, with air conditioning    Clean Trans Am  64 – 409   33 Ford pickup with Old’s power  Older Plymouth Belvedere convertible   Fully documented Mach 1 with air conditioning    Model A  70 Chevelle w/502   First car show for our 409 since we brought back from LA. Dad made the 150 mile round trip from his house with no issues other than using 20 gallons of gas, gotta love that 4:56 gear!  409  My Malibu 400  Malibu and 409 together for the 1st time  Looks like I finally figured out this picture thing. Yes, it did actualy snow on October 10th. For about 30 minutes it flew pretty good. No accumulation, not even enough to make the roads wet, but snow nonetheless. Everyone standing around looking at it in disbelief. Evidently last year at this show the same weekend it was almost 80 degrees. Gotta love Northern Illinois weather.
