Power Street Finals Reunion 2009
I haven´t had the time to post pics from the last events I have visited. But here are some pics from the Power magazine Street Finals Reunion celebrating the time in the early 90´s when Power magazine shipped cars to Orlando Florida to race against American competitors. All cars had to make a Power tour to show that they were street worthy before they could compete.
Those were the days !  My friends Johnnie(red 1963 Galaxie conv.) and Johnny(red supercharged 1970 442) when we arrived at Meca Raceway in Malmö, Aug 8 2009.     This is my old Chevy II !  427 Galaxie. There was one more at the track.    This one is interesting ! It´s a mint 20k miles Boss 429. I heard yesterday that it is for sale at around $200k.

As you can see from the pics, all kinds of cars attended this little event.
   Three VERY nice Deuces showed up.    These VW´s are sought after.   Leadsled built in Finland.  I believe this one was painted years ago.

And now the cars racing. The grandstands have been lowered so it wasn´t possible to take any good action-shots. This is what we saw....
  9 second Caddy !  Passengercar !   Mr Kjell Gustafsson has been wrinting articles and producing magazines since the seventies. He´s called "Kjelle Power" over here.  He doesn´t want to talk about all the nice cars he has bought over the years. "Pure Power" is one of them.

        Did you see the sign ? You are not allowed to drive faster than 410 kilometers per hour at the track !!!  Time to go home.....

This is where the "Kjelle Power"-story started, at Tri-City-Dragway in 1967. He was a young student who got interested in dragracing and started writing articles in Start & Speed magazine. The pic is scanned from the Power Magazine Big Meet Special that I bought the other day.
