I just purchased a new negative battery clamp that goes on the alternator bracket. I have no idea how to attache it. Looks like a rivet maybe?? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, John

I assume you mean negative battery cable? Most if not all are bolted to passenger side alternator bracket with a short bolt and star washer I believe. If alternator is on drivers side then to the front of the block.

I thought for 69 b/b, at a minimum, the negative cable attached to the block, not the alt bracket.

IIRC, I just squeezed it down in a press.
