Default 1970 nova bb starter heat shield

Does a 1970 nova ss 396 4 speed have a starter heat shield ? Is it the same as a 69 like the one Heart Beatcity makes? There is a odd nut that holds it on. Cannot find it in the assembly manual. thanks

Yes it does have the shield and spl nut. Its on page 302 of the assembly manual under the L-34 starter assembly. It has the same part numbers as the 69 so I assume it is the same.
