Default Z16 Carb on my 68.5 CJ Mustang

I love all this day 2 talk and have decided to bag and tag a few of my rare special parts for a later time. my car is a factory 4.30 4 speed and the originnal carb (C8OF 9510 AA) is a 735 cfm and extremly valuable as well as the early 68 dated manifolds. The new theme is super comp adjustable headers (the ones that have 2 tubes in front of the control arms)ported aluminum Police Interceptor intake and this...
3878261-EH
List 3310
7A1

It is a service replacement carb I gather due to the date but others in my circle have had great success with this carb. Hoping to run 12 sec in 1/4.

I think they still make the 3310 today.

Was the EH carb only used on the Z16 or did some of the factory 396 375HP engines use them in late 67-68. The later non EH 3310's carbs are very common at swap meets for sure.

I believe the non EH 3310's are 750 cfm. The EH 3310's are 780 cfm. I am not 100% positive on that so take that information with a grain of salt.

The 3310 "EH" and 3310-1 units were 780, the 3310-2 and later suffix units are 750 cfm. The difference is in the slabbed (thinned) secondary throttle shaft and less restrictive dog leg boosters in the early units.

Hope that helps.
