Default Acquired another one, kind of.

I have been trying to buy this for months. Fortunately mother nature helped so if there is a plus to the flooding is it actually saved this car. It was going to be left behind to possibly be submerged by the Missouri river. It's a 77 SE, 1 owner car. It has the Z code 400, auto, tilt, cruise and is original. Its been sitting for years but ran when parked. It spent most its life by the ocean, the salt water did not do any favors here. I am hoping this will be a permanent addition. I'm just glad it was saved from the flooding regardless.

I'm thinking restoring dads 77 Z/28 and now this one could make a great set of first cars for my boys. They are already fighting over who gets the Smokey and the Bandit car.

Very nice project car! Hopefully you got it for a nice price given the impending flood!

Great score! Aside from the rust it looks like a nice original unmolested car.

The car belongs to a co-worker of mines uncle. He purchased it new and it followed him on the east coast with the Navy. The car has been sitting for years. I have been after this for awhile but he didn't want to sell which I completely understand. With the flooding that has happened and what is coming in the next few weeks and months the car was more than likely to be claimed by the river. I made my case to save the car and the call came a few days ago to come and get it. They were more concerned with saving farm equipment and property than the car, again more than understandable. I honestly don't know if I own it or not, I hope so. I am glad it was saved unfortunately I am sure other classics will be lost. For anyone interested all the pics are here:
