sYc Members "Shine" at EyesOn Design show!

Many of you know I am heavily involved with the EyesOn Design automotive design show held annually on Fathers Day here in the Detroit area. The show is held on the beautiful grounds of the Edsel & Eleanor Ford Estate in Grosse Pointe Shores, MI.

This year, I oversaw five categories, including "The Evolution of the Muscle Car 1960-1972" and also a very special Dealer-built Supercars class, with strong participation from many sYc members.

I would like to say THANKS to all of you who participated and congrats to those of you who took home well deserved honors at this very prestigious show.

I am also proud to say we had five MCACN Alumnus in the Evolution of the Muscle Car category, of the 16 cars on display and also two more in my Boss Mustang display, (Rick Campbell's Boss 429 and Billy Jay's Boss 302 Shelby). Most of the others will be joining us in Chicago for the 2011 show!

Mark Hassett,(1968 Motion Phase 3) Rita and Bill (Royal Bobcat GTO) both got ribbons and and Dan McMicheal's really nice yellow/Black Motion GT 454 Corvette got multiple ribbons including the Blue ribbon. Congrats to all.

AND...you forgot; MRS. Clary also took home a Blue Ribbon award, with the sYc Yenko Camaro!

Bob, thanks for the invite, Diana and I had a GREAT time.

Spending time with others from this site, seeing their cars again, and watching them take home numerous awards was, as always, fun.

Yes ’69 Camaro (entered by the wife) received a Blue Ribbon, which really surprised us, as it was by no means the nicest car in the class. Leaving the rubber on the rear quarter panels from past burnouts seemed to influence the judge, who told me he liked to see cars that had history and “battle scars” to prove it. Diana allowed me to drive the car past the reviewing area, where I received a very nice trophy and got to tell a little of the cars history. This was a first for me, really neat.
