The look I'm going for with my Nova is 1970-1972 Pro Stock, which is a bit beyond Day 2, but does anyone know what seats they used back in the day? Pics of racing interiors from that era would be AWESOME.

From my memory (and I was fairly young then) the used the fiberglass base with the diamond tuck vinyl covers. Maybe these came later but that is what I remember these cars using back then. I know that is what was in my 54 Chevy gasser at that time. Or were they still using the stock seats in Pro Stocks at that time? Seems like I remember the stock door panels, headliner and dash being retained. Anyone else?

It seems like for the limited pictures I've seen of those cars, that alot had stock seats.

Looks like they even kept both seats in!

The tops of those look like fiberglass racing seats with covers.
When did Shafiroff go to the Mustang II back then?
