Wow! Growing up, a guy down the street from me had the identical car, red on red with a 6cyl/stick. Not nearly as nice as this one of course.

I think this is one of the &quot;Iraqi Malibus&quot; that Iraq backed out of the deal on. They were equipped exactly like this, and GM dealers here got a few each to try and sell. They went pretty cheap at the time, but still sat on the lot for a while.

I thought that it might be a Iraq Malibu as well, but those were 1981 models,all with 4 doors and A/C and the manual trans, plus the Iraq Malibu had Km speedos and were all sold in Canada.

Yeah, you're right. They were real oddballs, supposed to be taxi's or something like that.
