Default Another "What's it worth" question

1969 Camaro hull. There is no rust because 90% of the floors 95% of the skins have been removed. No trim tag or vin though I am told that those may still be in a box somewhere. Don't know what it WAS because of a lac of tags, also doesn't matter because of a lac of tags. It could have been an I6 or ZL1 doesn't matter now. The structure seems straight enough though. No front of rear sub frames, front clip, doors or deck lid. Skeleton only. Just wondering what kind of offer, if any to make on this.

Someone started to restore the car years ago and then lost interest and it has been sitting in a barn ever since. I am thinking of building a pro-touring car out of it.

Why, just because.
Most of the cars that I have done for customers were either not stripped down this far yet or were in better shape to start with, so the market value of such a piece is a little hard to gauge.

Not much I'd say... $500? If the vins are there.

The cost to build one right now far outstrips the current market.

The fact that is has no tags and I'm guessing no title, the value of this "body" in my opinion is worth more to a scrap yard.

I agree. Might as well buy a new repop body if you are going the pro touring route. I know you can save $$ doing the labor yourself, but I have found I can make more money doing other peoples fab work and paying up for grandmas rust free car. Also, you will be ahead on build time.

There are no titles on cars older than 1974 in Alabama so that is not an issue. As for the tags, that is the part that may be an issue even if he does have the them.

Getting tags for the shell in question shouldn't be any harder than getting tags for a repop shell.
