Auto Trader/Collector Car Trader was a big player, and there were several other very similar publications whose names escape me. Then in the Chicago area at least, there was a newspaper type publication called Tradin' Times....not sure if there was anything similar to Tradin' Times in other major metropolitan areas or not.

If you lived in the Philadelphia area.... all I have to say is "The Sell It" and "The Tradin' Times".
