Re: 1970 hugger orange nova
Hi Ricky,
Congrats on the purchase - a '70 Nova in Hugger Orange is a neat car. The 'B' following the paint code refers to the vinyl top of course, which is a leading indicator for the single '3' on the bottom row. The '3' indicates that your car has 3 of the 4 possible exterior molding options (or it simply has the Exterior Decor Option which automatically includes 3 moldings). Since your car has a vinyl top, one of the 3 moldings will be drip rail, and I suspect the other two will be door frame and body side. The 'A' on the bottom row indicates that your interior items will be black to match the interior seat code. Finally, the '0201' number is an inventory tracking number that tends to increase linearly with the body sequence number until there is either a body color change and/or option change - otherwise, this number is not of much use as it does not refer to any options on the car.
I would suggest that you pull out the back seat and search for the Broadcast Sheet(s).
