When this car was for sale a few months ago, someone on Team Camaro said they saw it before the resto and it was a rust bucket. Others substantiated that claim. I was shocked at this given the seller's description of all original body panels. I stopped bidding at that point...

I am not here to slam the car. Just pointing out what has been posted publicly.

TC thread: http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=209853

Previous auction had a pic showing the rear axle from behind, which appeared to be pitted pretty badly, but painted over. That auction ran up to $72k and is still viewable on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-Z-28...=item2572414c59
Curiously, the axle shot seems to be missing in the current auction. Also, previously had headers, and now has manifolds.

I don't know if it is a rebody. If I were a serious buyer on the car, I would sure be inspecting the trim tag rivets, hidden vin's etc. very carefully.

Perhaps the anonymous member at TC who alerted Everett just has an axe to grind. Who knows. If that is the case, and the car really is original panels, what a shame.

OK, Don, now for something positive.
What a great looking car!
