Hi Everybody, As many of you know, I own the "Anderson Olds" 1969
W-31 F/S race car. I am looking for any pictures or articles that may contain my car or any of Anderson's previous race cars. The '69 is Aztec Gold w/ white hood stripes and was lettered with "Anderson Olds" on the sides along with the driver's name (Sonny Freeman) and the mechanic's name(Frank Augustine)on the fenders. This car ran locally on the east coast from early 1969 through very early in 1971 and was then sold off the used car lot. Forseeing the major stock-class rules change, Anderson's racing program was then put to a halt. If anyone does indeed have any info., pics, or just remembers the car, please contact me here or at 410-206-9427 or at [email protected]. Thanks so much, Dave Siltman.

Thanks Pete, I haven't seen it, but that would have been Anderson Chevrolet from Edmondson Ave. They were a large Chevrolet dealership that did sell many high-performance cars and at least one ZL-1 Camaro in addition to Jerry MacNeish's current D/S '67Z race car. I know this gets confusing, but at that time (looks like a '74 Camaro on the sign)that dealership wasn't affiliated with any of the Anderson Olds stores, although it was only a block up the street from A.D.Anderson's City Olds. We (Anderson Olds on 25th St.) bought Luby Chevrolet and it became part of the "Anderson Automotive Group" around the mid-90s and subsequently lost it in the "Obama-GM-restructuring". I really appreciate the help and please let me know if anything else is found.

Thanks Brent, I have that one. Now you see Sonny's nickname "The Hawk" as pictured on the front fenders.
