Default DP90LF

If I shoot our spare Fiberglas Jr body with DP90LF mixed as a sealer, and it sees a fair amount of sunlight, what will the ultraviolet rays do to the paint?

Even if I mix it as a sealer?

It probably will. If you want the look, just add flattener to black enamel.

Ok, thanks. I'm thinking the gray primer will have to do - it's for the spare body that the neighbor kid will use until Amanda ages into her Jr Dragster.

Why are you using DP? It's not going to rust. You could shoot a good quality filler primer on the fiberglass. Maybe some slick sand?
Save a step, and cost. You can use a value shade sealer later when you decide on the color. Just a thought.

I've only sprayed PPG so I wouldn't even know another brand to shoot. Also, I have the DP90 and K36 - so maybe just shoot some 90 and then some K36? I have some Deltron single stage gloss black too, could shoot that over the K36 and be done with it - but was hoping to get it in a dull black primer so it would be ready for whatever color Danny wants it to be as I'm thinking he might get Amanda's car when she moves up and Danny ages in. (this car has a standard footbox, so if the kid gets taller than 5'8" or so they get a bit cramped)

While I'm not that familiar with ppg other than dp, I don't see you having an adhesion issue with K36 over fiberglass. It will cover any color variences in a couple of coats, give you some fill build, and save the cost on the dp. If this was a metal body, I'd say go with the dp, but I think your ok with the K36. JMHO

I think I'm just going to rattle can it flat black primer, that'll solve it - and keep the cost down!
