Default White Hall reunion

Yesterday, the wife and I, along with Drew, loaded up our '69 Yenko Nova and headed to White Hall, IL, to hang out with Cumby and the rest of the WH crew, As usual, we had a great time, lots of cool cars and great people. One of the highlights was spending time with a well known drag racer from the past, Larry Dixon, SR. He originally he lived in CA, but moved to the Indy area to be closer to his son Larry, JR and his family. Many, many cool stories about his racing, his cars, the tracks and the people he meet along the way.

Thanks again to the entire WH gang for another fun day.

Tom and I were sitting on a picnic table talking and I saw this guy walk into the pavilion where we were. I thought to myself, "That looks like Larry Dixon", but, ........ c'mon, ............. Larry Dixon in White Hall, IL? .......... No Way! Hmmmm. I've been wrong before!
Larry had shoulder surgery about ten days ago and was still in a little pain, but he was in great spirits and has a pretty cool sense of humor. I asked him about the sling/cast he was wearing and he said he had some kind of shoulder surgery but he had trouble remembering what they called it. He said, "it's something like 'Radiator Cap' ".
We were blown away to see him and had no idea he was coming. He spent the entire day with us and appeared to thoroughly enjoy himself. He signed autographs for anyone who asked, .... but he signed everything "Larry Dixon's DAD". He said that's his real Claim to Fame. I've met Larry, Jr a couple of times and he's just like his Dad; Just your average, everyday guy. Very cool people.

Link to some pix from the show below, but on behalf of ALL the WHDOW gang I want to extend our Thanks to Tom, Diana and Drew for once again making the long trip to spend the day with us. The Clary Family are top-notch people and you're always welcome in our part of the country. Remember Drew, next year we're going to the track! Hi everyone, first post here. I got a link to this thread in my email and saw the call for more pics so I thought I'd chime in. I took about 600 photos at the show yesterday and it's going to take me a while to get through everything but I'll try and keep my flickr page updated as I go. Also I don't know if it's ok or not to plug my site here but I'll have pics there too all week long. www.infinitegarage.com If that's not cool to link over to it let me know and I'll get the link down.

Here's my flickr link.

In the mean time here's a few shots from the show. Hope you enjoy them. Had an absolute blast and can't wait for next year!
