I'm looking to stencil some tires for a 69 Camaro RS SS
How do you tell/determine what the stencil should say and does anyone make these? Thanks SYC

Eddie,
I think our good man Rick (Mr. LS6) Nelson has done these before. Nice detail!

Thanks Sam. Eddie, you can determine what tire code they would be from a buildsheet. Since few Camaros have them you would need to ask around for the correct code as I only have the codes and stencils for the Chevelle. If you find the code it is fairly easy to make the stencil and I can supply you with a sample and/or photos of Chevelles but you get the idea. (Chevelle for example is L8DS 5) What kills it is the time it takes to paint them on the wheel and locate a good paint that will hold up. You can count on several hours per tire. I have posted this photo several times in the past so sorry to those who are tired of seeing it posted.

I copied this off an original tire so I only replicated what I found. The ink goes all the way into the tread so it was stamped prior to the tire being blown into the mold.

Good subject guys
Now I have a small project for this winter. I will attempt doing my spare tire for my Chevelle. I posted a photo of my code off my build sheet in the red square. Mine reads L8DS 5, 5 is the quantity of tires but what L8DS means I would not know. I guess the stamp will be L8DS 1 as the single tire is 1 in quantity. Thanks Rick
