Default open shipping from CT to chicago

does anyone have a reasonably priced shipper they would recommend (open car carrier type). I just bought a ford excursion out of CT.
I am starting from scratch, hope to keep it under $1K for the beast.
reliable is likely way too much, as its not required to be enclosed.

Hope I don't have to fly out and drive it back.

Used 1Flatrate (broker), rep's name was Mike Falco I believe. Service and communication was excellent. They charged me about $1200 (enclosed) or so to move a non running 71 911 from Seattle to basically my house in Long Island a year or ago. He sent me the carriers insurance paperwork and the google reviews were very good overall. They were much cheaper than the major guys and the driver/handler was very good (careful). The truck was loaded with high end, late model cars (guess that says something ?) I would use them again in a minute. SULLY

Ended up going with reliable. I bought a mint 2000 excursion with 30000 miles, figured why not treat it nice for an extra $300 over open trailer broker choices. $1300 vs most open broker based (even UPS) are $1000, no matter who.
It will be nice for my wife to see it all clean and shiney (her new ride). We live right near a high school and these kids text and drive and cross the yellow line all the time. Excursion helps address that.
