Default 1969 L89 Camaro?

Fellas -

Curious about a car that I know of - it's a 1969 Camaro, X-66, PBT stamp, very late build (Sep '69?), VIN ends in 691XXX. Has a JJ code 272 block, but it's been decked. Said to be L89, but no paperwork. Can you rule out L89 by the build date?

Thanks,

Scott

"Has" a JJ coded block but its been decked?? Do you mean the code is still there,or there was a pic of it before being decked ?

I haven't seen the block, but understand the JJ code is still legible, but the VIN is not.

VIN should be by the oil filter rough cast area not on same pad if a late Norwood Camaro?

Don't know if it's a Norwood or Van Nuys car. I'll check.

Will see what I can find out on the block, too.

Thanks

Check front spring tags, if they are still there.

if it is an X66 car, it would be a Norwood....that is a late car, the VIN should be down by the oil filter.

It is indeed a Norwood car. No response on the VIN. Believe the car may have been sold new at Yenko. Is there any way to check this?
