Default Rodents

Went out to make sure the Studebaker was ready for winter last fall. Noticed a mouse running across the floor.

Put in some mouse poison and some rat poison.

Did its job alright, but the little buggers sure gathered nuts for the winter before I killed them off.

Thought I had it cleaned out pretty good, then decided I should pull the seat to be safe. Glad I did.

Here is what I found.

2 rats and 3 mice later, and she is all cleaned up. BTW, those guys who say the rat poison/mouse poison will make them decay without stinking. Liars! One big ole boy had active maggots when I pulled him out of the seat springs.

BTW, thanks to my angel of a wife for helping me with this project without a whimper or complaint. I really am the luckiest guy on earth.

I had a giant mouse move the entire contents of a 25 lb bag of grass seed into the trunk of my Gramma's Firebird over the winter, a few years ago. After I found the giant pile of seeds I put out some regular spring loaded mouse traps in the car and caught the sucker. He looked like a tennis ball with legs.

Put a couple Bounce dryer sheets under the seat. Mice don't like the smell and will stay away. I usually try to put 5 or 6 in my car when I know it is going to be sitting for a while. Irish Spring soap is supposed to work too. Just cut slivers off the bar and put in your car. I haven't tried the soap but the Bounce dryer sheets work for me.

To put it nicely, I HATE those BASTARDS! Just spent the morn getting nuts out of Camaro's rocker panels.
