Default Norwood Assembly Plant

A pic of the rail car loading ramps at the Norwood Assembly plant. This was from 2009. Nothing left now.. This was the East ramp. How many cars rolled over these ramps!

Default Re: Norwood Assembly Plant

This external rail spur was used from 1982-1987 and its light poles and rail ballast are still visible today.

Roughly 40% of the cars produced during that period were were shipped by rail. Over 775,000 cars were produced during that period at Norwood.

This spur was about a mile from the plant, and cars had to be trucked there.
