If those 3 cars are real & complete - I'd take the three of them for the Boss 429 any day!!!! JMHO |

it was a gorgeous car. The owner was very open with the story. A guy sold it as a z and the guy that had it restored dropped a lot of money in it. Then the current owner had it for a couple years. Current owner got paperwork from Jerry when it was a 67 RS car with a power glide. Had new tag and block was stamped with Vin. It really looked like a z and had exceptional paint. Someone will have a lot of fun with it.

Better yet. Drive it like a maniac for a fraction of a real one.

Is this the 67 Camaro you are talking about? It was Lot S191 at Mecum Indy in 2010 and sold for $71K. It was advertised there as an original Z/28 with a correct MP block and a 4.10 rear end. I know the tag had the 4L, but I didn't take a picture of it. It was a beautiful car, so it's disappointing that it is not the real deal.
![]() ![]() There were 3 67 Chevelles there that were advertised as L78's. I don't believe any of them had any documentation. The Butternut Yellow convertible F241 sold for $62K, the Emerald Turquoise one F264 sold for $58K and the Tuxedo Black one F269 sold for 75K. The Aztec Bronze 66 F261 was also advertised as an L78 and sold for $45K. If any of them are actually real the new owners got a great deal. |
