Is the 10 bolt in ad a typo? Neat car, love the color combo!

That car should definitely have a 12 bolt. I had one just like it. 1970 Malibu 350-300hp, M20 Muncie, 2.73 12 bolt, tach and gauges white with black bench interior.

I've always had the impression this is more like a 327/300, no? The LT-1 is more of an L79 successor than this.

Right. My first car right out of high school was a 69 Camaro SS350 4 spd with 4.10s and a wide.It had some carb work by Lance Hill and slapper bars, but other then that it was dead stock. It was a rock.I thought in the beginning that it was quick untill one day I ran this ughly Plymouth.I knew nothing.I told my buddy it was lime green with no hub caps and chrome wheel nuts.It said SIX PACK on the side of the scoop. He gave it to me hard.I was so depressed.I lost my job and had to sell the SS.My second car was a 68 Nova. Not a SS.It was black on black L79 4 spd with 3:31s and a wide. All stock except for a set of dumps.327/325HP.It was the same motor as a 66 L79 327/350HP but it had a cast iron intake and a Quadrajet. The Nova would kill stock 350s.It ran 14.3s all day.The Camaro would run 14:80s.I shifted the Nova at 6800 were the Camaro was all done at 5600.I used to sneak the Nova in as a 350/300 at the track when class racing was still the norm.As long as the tech guy didn't hear the cam I usually pulled it off. That car could handle anything stock untill I got up against L78s or a good running 440.A buddy of mine (Skinny Jim) had a similar L79 Nova but added a Z28,intake,cam,carb and headers. With a 4spd and 4:56 gears. That car was a giant killer and he gave to many serious big blocks. Now my third car was ......Oops I'm babbling. |
