This is a very rare piece of racing history. You are looking at a custom made tunnel ram intake manifold that was purchased directly from Mickey Thompson in 1971. This intake was made either by or for Mickey Thompson for his Boss 429 drag car. Mickey sold this intake in person at his shop in Southern California to owners of a 1970 Boss 429 who were looking to go faster. Hotrod magazine recently wrote an article on this Boss 429 including the story behind this very tunnel ram. You can see the Hotrod Magazine article here:
http://www.hotrod.com/cars/featured/...trip-survivor/ The last picture in this listing is from the article above. This listing is for the intake and hardware shown. There are no carburetors included. This intake is awesome. The base is darker than the top pieces. I believe the base may be magnesium. This tunnel ram is still in the same condition as it was in when purchased from Mickey Thompson himself. This includes the vintage port repairs as shown. All threads are in good shape and there is no corrosion. I believe this is the only intake of its kind ever made. You can own this true piece of race history. I have this intake listed on Ebay at NO RESERVE. It ends this Sunday.
