Kansas fonts were also bigger but I think they started stamping them on top and using the larger font in 1970 but I could be wrong. I have a 68 Kansas 396 engine I have been trying to find it's home as well. It too has a small font like the above. Good luck.

That stamping is fine for a 69 Kansas car. 1970 went to the bigger unique font style. Good luck John, hopefully the car it came from still exists!

Ive had several 70 kansas munices, vin always on top of case, unless it was possibly a very early side / late top thing.
