my understanding, and ive had a few is, 68 up chevelle and impala are the same..i noticed small diffs in the ducts..but just very little...

67 ive never had one..and i understand there is a diff in the duct

i think early there was a part number diff and then they superceeded to 1 number

i have no proof on any of these...ive just had a few in my hands

i looked at an NOS in the crate labeled as 68 Impala...and everything was identicle to the one i owned at the time and it was labeled as chevelle when i bought it andit too was NOS

Can't help with your problem but do you have a source for the filter that fits one of these?

I read a filter from a 80"s Olds Cutlass with a diesel would fit but it's a little tall. I think a filter is about as rare as literature for one of these
