Default 1970 Nova jack storage.

Quick question for you Nova guys. I'm taking the Nova over to a show in NJ this weekend. Should the jack be stowed above or below the center of the tire? Thanks

Below the center point and also I have a few low mileage Novas and all of mine had black jack stands. Not to say yours is wrong, but that has been my experience.

On the '70 Nova's I always thought the indents in the trunk floor above the spare were designed for the jack?

I retract both my previous statements on the grounds that I may be proven stupid. lol I was going from memory and I have since found pics of black and grey jacks stands in my old cars. As far as location. I don't have a Nova trunk handy so I will defer to Marlin on the trunk indentions.

Jack goes above the spare tire in the indents..

That looks better - didn't notice those notches with the trunk mat in place. BTW - no trunk floor mat with rubber floor mat interior - correct?

Correct: mounting location, jack base color, and no trunk mat. The only slight flaw is that the backside of that wheel should actually be black with the red body color only being sprayed on the front - with overspray blowing through to the backside. While I'm at it....I can't see if the 2 ID stripes are on the weatherstripping. If not, the colors are yellow & green, about an 1/8" wide, vertically, at either the 11 or 1 o'clock position.

Got it - have to correct some of those details for the next show. Just going for Junior judging at AACA - so I have some points to give up! Thanks Again
