NIGHTMARE!!
I am still working on my 71’ Nova and just got around to the trunk lid (someone had replaced the original from a donor car) -- I was in the process of working the gaps and alignment. I noticed the stainless trim below the back window was not quite right – so I removed left and right pieces. There is where the fecal matter hit the rotating oscillator!! THE PANEL BELOW THE REAR WINDOW UNDER THE MOLDINGS IS COMPLETE SHOT – LOOKS LIKE RUSTED SWISS CHEESE!! Can anyone here suggest where to get replacement sheet metal for this area? Will I need to pull the perfect headliner out to replace the rusted metal (welding required) around the top of glass (windshield and back glass)?
