Default Robert Yates - Liver Cancer

As reported in JAYSKI -- Robert Yates battling liver cancer: Doug Yates indicated Monday afternoon, "My dad @robertyates28 was diagnosed w liver cancer, treatment starts today. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers!" Robert Yates started in NASCAR as an engine builder before becoming a Sprint Cup team owner from 1989-2007. He was a 2017 NASCAR Hall of Fame nominee.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Yates -- one of the best Ford engine builders on this rock ... TAZ

Had a huge, if poorly documented and recognized, influence on the "second" musclecar era, as well. The first time I saw a Yates-headed small block Ford at the street races in Kansas City was mind-boggling. Prayers out to him.
