I have a Mallory 5250 fuel pump. What is the difference between the gas and "alcohol only" 5250a version? I know you can convert them either way, but it seems like with alcohol being corrosive, you could run gas through an alcohol pump, but not the other way around.

Thanks Sean. So it seems like the alky pump wouldn't have a problem with the gas then right? I can understand why you couldn't use a gas pump with alky.

No it would not. Just keep your system clean after you run or drive it run some gas through because it will corrode the fuel system alky will create condensation after sitting to long.
