This is more of a question. Is this correct or does this guy not know what he has? What is the F4J code?

I’m not sure if it’s real.....if it was, you’d think he’d show everything disassembled, displaying all the internal parts as they are different than a standard unit.
F4J is the date code. F=June, 4=4th and J=1969. Kurt

Thanks. I sent him a message asking how many teeth are on the axle gears. He is supposed to be checking it. Am I correct in thinking that the COPO unit has 16 teeth on the axle gears?

The springs pictured I do not believe are COPO springs.
As far as the casting number, ALL 4 series standard or COPO used the same casting #. The PN is different but not on the carrier. The side gears for COPO are 16 teeth vs 18 on a standard 12 bolt. It does kind of look like this unit has 16 tooth side gears, but you can not tell by that picture for sure. And if it was a BE/KQ carrier, good luck finding the parts needed to make it complete. He sent me a reply and said that it does have 16 tooth axle gears, so I'm guessing that it actually is a COPO unit. I think these had 800 pound springs, not the green 200 pound springs.

I believe that it should also have the round plates, not the oval ones. Again, more pictures of it disassembled would be beneficial to the seller and the buyer.
I also agree that Rosebush is a reputable seller. Kurt
