Not a bad looking car in a rarely seen color. I don't believe that air cleaner is correct but I can see the deep-groove alternator pulley peeking out of the engine shot....

Right, not a real popular color and about the air cleaner not being correct. Lots of cleaning/repainting done, wheels headlight bezels, engine compartment. Another common thing again is having the D88 stripe kit and Z28 emblems. You could only get stripes or emblems, not both.

I doubt the mileage. That's a 70-72 z28 air cleaner with the longer snorkels.
Smog and other low mileage stuff missing. passenger fender has the cut out so it was probably replaced. ![]() My windshield wipers are black. WW motor doesn't look right either.

My first car was a 76 sport coup - silver/red with the 305 smogger. Went through several iterations through my high school and college years - 400 small block, 402 big block, multiple 4-speeds, etc. When I sold it I had painted it IROC Firemist red with three-tone gold stripes, styled after the 77 Z/28. What really made it look better was painting those big aluminum bumpers body color. They did that with the 77 Z's - would have really helped the looks of the 74's as well.
