Do all mark iv 454s use the same balancer? To my understanding, they do. I’ve never really researched that or can say that is fact? Thanks sYc

I think your right, production line 454's had an externally balanced Damper used IMO not sure about over the counter 454's.

I added a set of bolts for the pulley. (See Photos)
Price lowered to $70 Plus $15 shipping and I am throwing in those pulley bolts.

Original 454 crankshaft dictates. I’m building a 496 for the Monte and the crank I’m using is internally balanced

Do these balancers have dates on them? And I've noticed that some balancers with the same casting number have a different amout of what appears to be drilled holes around the outermost face of the balancer. Are these done for balancing purposes? Thanks. Mark
