A buddy of mine in HS had a really perfect white-on-red '69 GTX and I'll always remember the weird shade of red on the upholstery. Neat car with the right colors and the right transmission (my buddy's was a 727 and he always lamented how much cooler it would have been with the stick).
IIRC, he bought his '69 in 1995 for $8,000 and the car was about as perfect as you could hope for. That was way more money than I had ever seen in HS and I always wondered how he was able to pull that kind of money together as a 16-year-old kid.... I'm normally not a big fan of vinyl tops, but with the black lower body, that looks fantastic.
