Could this be the missing vette or one of four thet were changed over and sold to employees? I have a freind that has what I think could be one of these. This car sat on a dead end street since the very early 70'S I remember the car since 78 when I moved to the town. It sat with no front clip, no motor and was painted lime metalflake. Well about 3 years ago a friend of mine bought it for $1,000 bucks. He said it used to have an aluminum big block and the former owner still had it but wanted $5,000. Well anyway I was checking the car out and looked at the console and it said ZL/1 CORVETTE not a sticker but enbosed in the wood grain on the top behind the shifter. Whats your opinions. I havent talked to him for about a year, mabey i will go try to get a picture, he is kind or seacretive about that VETTE though. It,s in north central Ohio does any one know the one im talking about?

I've seen the ZL-1 stickers on Ebay a few times typically in the $5 to $10 range.

if the original owner has the aluminum motor check by the filter pad for a vin stamp. i have a akuminum block but it lacks a partial vin which shows it was never a factory install.
