What safety items if any will the supercars need in order to race at the Reunion? Radiator overflow container? Helmet? Are passengers under 16 allowed? Thanks.

I recently "teched" in at Gateway during a Wednesday night test and tune session.
If your car will run under 13.99 a helmet is required...(but was not enforced on my second pass). If you run under 11.99 a fire protective jacket is also required. A second accelerator return spring is required on all cars. If slicks are run, you must have the U shaped brace welded on around the drive shaft. Hope this helps. |

Charlie:
IF they enforce NHRA rules, 13.99 and quicker needs a loop, ALL cars are supposed to have catch cans, and passengers is a no no. BUT, in years past, they HAVE NOT teched, but this is the first year at Gateway, so who knows. BUT, I am trying to call the tech guy there this morning, so I will let everyone know as soon as possible. |
