zl-1 question

i asked this question once before in team camaro and was told to ask it here. i am curious about the two zl-1 black and gold cars. i've read a few things in camaro books but i wonder how much of it is bs or just taken from looking at the photos. i've seen just three shots of the cars and it definatley looks like two different cars. i asked ed cunneen a few years back and he said they cars could have conceivably been sold. he didn't say with or without the aluminum motors. also, is there more than the three photos? two shots look like there in the shop and the other has some dude with a goatee driving one. any clues? i'm really curious what the cars had for options. of course i image they were fully loaded. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks
