Default Ducks

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, runs faster than a duck but is not an original duck and is 75k cheaper than an original duck... then is it a goose or a turkey?

LVCamaro, that is funny! The point I am trying to make is that I am thinking of making a deuce clone out of my 70 Nova, not to try to pass it off but to enjoy and pay tribute. I will however make sure it is faster. Thinking of a 502.

Let me get this straight...you are building a '70 Deuce "clone", yet going bigblock? Can I ask why? When I hear "Yenko Deuce", I instantly think "LT-1". Those LT-1s are pretty potent in their own right, just check out this Stock Appearing '70 COPO Nova clone that runs high 11s @ almost 118mph on redlines! Pretty cool...for a small block!

Rob, I'm guessing that car had a STRONG tailwind to run high elevens! I want to build a rat motor but love the look of the Yenko Deuce and since it is a 70...

Don't know about the tail wind, but he ran 11s on some lazy high 1.9 short times. Jim feels the car is good for 11.60s...

I sure would like to know more about his combo then. How much does the car weigh? If he can run those numbers thru stock exhaust manifolds and steel heads on skinny tires N/A, then I need to know more! The MPH indicates he can turn a better ET but the 1.9 60' at least indicates he is getting it to hook somewhat on those tires, with that kind of power without suspension mods, those tires should just fry! What tranny, how many cubes, and the rest?

Well, the owner is on this board (Buizilla) and I think he told me the car regularly 60 foots down in the 1.8s, and did a 1.84 at Bristol, but the air was crap, and he was 3-4 mph off...yet he ran 12.1s! HERE is a thread about his recent runs. So, you do the math...

It's an auto, no idea on cubes, but he says it's under 400. As for weight, it's probably relatively light, but the car runs a full interior, and has to remain a stock appearance, so it hasn't been "stripped".

That thread states he is less than 400ci. Sure would like to know more about this car. I went to the site in his signature, something about diesels and turbo chargers, maybe that is it! I am intrigued, so I am gonna do a search on this site, under his user ID. Inquiring mind wants to know!

I don't think there is any info about his car on this site, or any site for that matter. Try shooting him an email. Jim (Buizilla) has been really helpful to me in the past!
